Holiday Activities 2008 – 2009
VISUAL ARTS: Aged 8 - 16

OCTOBER HALF TERM
Venue: Chapel Gallery, 10.00am to 3.30pmWednesday 29th October: Be Scared! Angie Thompson
Create extraordinary miniature works of art from mixed media. Illustrate vile visions, spooky landscapes, outlandish animals, or fearsome friends! Using layers of paper, paint, found images and photographs – and most importantly your darkest thoughts and ugliest imaginings!!!
Friday 31st October: Wild Colours, Sarah Jane Richards
Use material, torn paper and paint to design bright, vivacious patterns and use them to create your very own multi-coloured, exotic creature. It could be one from a picture that you’ve seen, or from a visit to the zoo, or even your own ‘wild’ imagination!
FEBRUARY HALF TERM 2009
Venue: Chapel Gallery, 10.00am to 3.30pmWednesday 18th February 2009: Underwater Worlds, Sharon Kelly
Be inspired by life under-the-sea, think of brightly coloured coral, amazing anemones, mermaids, sharks and treasure chests. What would you find at the bottom of the ocean? Use your imagination and a variety of creative materials to find out!
Friday 20th February 2009: 3D Animal Magic!, Andy Shaw
Design and produce your own awesome 3D animals using wire and other sculptural materials. Be inspired by a favourite pet, an animal from the wild or even think up your own using different body parts from various beasties!
