Family Friendly Activities

We are a family friendly gallery, aiming to create a visitor experience that is engaging - whatever your age!

Each exhibition includes a ‘Things To Do’ area with activities such as a search for artworks in the exhibition using only photographs ofartwork details, through to creating poems or stories based on a particular piece. These activities are aimed at our younger visitors but - if they get stuck - adult participation is encouraged!

In this way we hope to promote the development of keen observational skills and imaginative thinking too.
Vincent - Ched Arty
Family Friendly Room - Saturday Only
This facility includes a drawing area, equipped with drawing materials where visitors can create their own masterpieces!

Storytelling, Music, Performance, Painting and lots more!
Every Saturday the gallery provides a room dedicated to creative
activity for families. Why not pop in and meet the gallery’s friendly
family of mice and take part in some of the activities available.
Accompanying each exhibition is an activity especially planned to
ensure that younger visitors enjoy their experience. The café also
provides a range of children’s lunches too!

Please note: All children must be supervised by an adult while participating in Family Friendly activities.
