Exhibitions & Showcases
The Chapel Gallery provides an engaging exhibition programme of solo and group shows that explore a diverse range of themes through a variety of media.
Past exhibition programmes have brought together artists from throughout the UK and have included shows as distinct as Lived In; a group exhibition exploring the memories and emotions that infuse the interior spaces in which we spend time and ID which considers the complex expression of identity through art.
While the gallery has been host to international artists such as David Hockney, Andy Goldsworthy and Peter Blake, organised through the Hayward Gallery, and Julie Arkel and Eleanor Glover through the Ruthin Craft Centre, we also aim to encourage the development of inspiring artists at the beginning of their careers. For example, the engaging works of sculptor Matthew Roby and those of emerging artists and makers encouraged through the LACi new graduate scheme.
